Thanks for visiting
gynfo.com for gynecological information. Women are
more interested in protecting and preserving their
health today than at any time in our history, and we
are pleased to offer a comprehensive health
"Action" schedule for the “Seasons of Her
Life” along with a wealth of other related women’s
health topics.
I made the decision to
specialize in women’s health for several reasons. I
wholeheartedly believe in treating the whole
woman...because it is impossible to separate the
physical, psychological and spiritual components into
neat little stacks for closer scrutiny. I wanted to
participate in the many exciting advances in
preventive care, and to help women of all ages
overcome the myths and misinformation of the past so
that they can concentrate on being healthy and fit. I
wanted to become proficient in the emerging
technologies now available to help relieve some
chronic problems such as incontinence, PMS and
menopausal symptoms. Quite simply, I wanted to be able
to provide a resource for information and advice on
other important life issues of concern to patients and
their families. And, because of the very real threat
of AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases that
-- sadly -- are a part of today’s reality, I
especially wanted to become a source for accurate data
in this area, as well.
As a physician and surgeon, I
believe that the best patient-doctor relationships are
based on mutual trust, respect, and a candid exchange
of ideas and information. We therefore welcome and
encourage our patients’ questions and comments
because they are critical to our ability to provide
the quality of care that you expect and deserve.
It will not be possible, of
course, to individually answer all the e-mails that a
health site like this one can generate. Besides, a web
site -- however well-intentioned -- cannot possibly
substitute for a visit with your physician, and all
personal health questions should be directed to the
health care professionals who know you and your
medical history. So, please do not be offended if you
do not receive a direct answer to your e-mail. We will
use the topics suggested in these communications to
add additional content to the site periodically, and
we will welcome your comments and ideas about other
subjects on which you’d like additional information.
Sincerely,
